ZETEC engine. 1.8 or 2.0 silvertop
I'm after a 1.8 or 2.0 zetec engine. Not sure if black top or silvertop makes any difference. Blew mine up at cadwell on friday. It is a
silvertop thats coming out so it's a straight swap.
Already have escort sump and water pump, DOHC starter etc etc.
Any suggestions of where to buy or which one to buy (silver or black) I'm all ears

I think for a straight swap you should look for a silver top, as there are several oddities with the black top, for example I think it was the water
pump that spins the other direction

I have a 1.8 Silver top in my garage that has got only 11000 x miles on it if, you are interested?
Something about this, so very wrong.....I have to laugh out loud, I wish I didn`t like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 1.8 escort engine i listed on the bay last night for £120 quid. done about 100k. Yours for 100 if you want to come and get it.

got two for sale
belonging to my father in law in nottingham.
one brand new silvertop which needs cams fitting etc..
and one from a 94 mondeo auto about 80k approx
open to offers for either or both?

Hi,
I dont know if you interested as it seems there is a glut of engines around.
I have complete engine in the garage with all the bits still in place, nothing has been removed which will help when swapping over.

I've got a black top 1.8 Focus engine in the garage if you did want to change.
Was told it had 60k on it, but no way of proving. It's been dry stored for about 2 years now, but should still be ok.
£100 if you collect.
