Diff wanted ( Sierra / Granada )

Anyone got a 4.1 diff ? I'm not sure if they made a 7" 4.1 but a 7.5" would do. Can swap for a 3.6 or 3.92. Also I'm after a pair of output flanges for a 7" lsd as I have a lsd with no flanges.

the only standard 4.1 diff's are 7.5" ones
(axle code '7' on the vin plate)
they are found in the 2.0i 8v ugly scorpio's (95-98)

the 2.0i 16v cars have a 4.27 (code '2' )

both have 100mm bolt-on flanges same as the 7" diffs

neither will be an LSD as standard so you'd need to mix and match with the cossie 7.5" diffs (the granada 24v cossies without traction control have a 7.5" LSD with 100mm flanges)

or you could get an aftermarket crown wheel + pinion for a 7" diff:

The above info is spot on, the diff is 4.09:1 and only comes form the bug eyed scorpio. They were not popular engines(under powered for the car) and so there aren't many about. They also fetch a fair premium as they are sought after by stock car racers. I do have one but it wouldn't be available as a swap for a diff that's ten a penny like a 3.62 or 3.92. They make £250 upwards in the oval racing world.

Thanks for the info guys. I changed mine from a 3.9 to a 4.27 last year hoping to improve my 1/4 mile times but now losing out on 60 ft times so want to give the 4.1 a try.
