How much to make up one of these (Machinest query)
I bought a set of bargain wheels on ebay, issue is one of them has a 4mm larger centre bore so the centre cap doesnt fit.
I need one of these to space it so the cap will clip on.
Any ideas if its a feasable design and who/where/how much? (I guess aluminium would be best?)
Is the section of 1mm profile too slim?

A lump of ali that diameter is about 6 to 9 quid delivered.
It will take about an half an hour to turn on a myford and here is the bite ......finding someone with the time to do it.

Could you build up the centre cap with some aluminium strip to make it fit ? Araldite it as you wind it round till it sets and a bit of wheel silver
paint to disguise it.

Centre cap is plastic and has 6 'tabs' that clip around the inside of rim with a metal 'c'ring that reinforces them, so not
really much to 'build' on to.
Also the larger centrebore not longer has a lip for the tabs to engage with so this recreates that tab. Will also lock them in as the plate is fitted
on the inside and the cap secures from the outside ans is wide enougth to lock it in.

May be cheaper / easier to buy a new set of larger centre caps and just use one on that wheel
Dutch bears have terrible skin due to their clogged paws

get a lump of ali and i can do it for you one evening.
