Glue For Mirror

In the heat the rear view mirror is coming away.

Whats best glue for sticking it back on?

(its got 3m pad at the moment, which has been fine for 4 months but heat has got to it)

Or try your local motor factors : Halfrauds - £6:50 for pack of 2 pads (how many do you need for one car!), local shop - £0.75 for one.

The one at the moment is used by BMW but think any sticky pad will suffer in this heat.

There is a UV cured glue kit that you can buy at decent motor factors. I have ALWAYS found the double sided sticky pads to be a bit iffy and in the end gave up using them and used the UV glue kit in-stead. Never had a mirror come of since. Again cleanly-ness is next to godly-ness, you MUST refit mirror in daylight and you do need to refit and hold it in place for about a minute (for the glue to cure, times are on instructions), but once on they DO NOT come off again except if the windscreen needs changing and then you don't care about damage to the glass.

Hope this helps.
