nasty prop vibration

Just wondered if anyone can help. Ive got an Indy with Blackbird power. Late last year my front yolk went on the prop after a nasty vibration taking out the clutch housing. Repaired it with a new front prop part but noise is still there. It happens at about 60mph ish, not under load but when your cruising and not a lot of load on it. It dissappears when you throttle off too. Its a kind of noise like when you spin a troly wheel too fast when it unbalances itself if you know what I mean.
Any ideas guys?

Did you put the yoke on in the same position as the one you took off. If you get them in the wrong orientation they can cause problems like phasing.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

not sure actually. Aries Motorsport put the new prop in. He seems to know his stuff. It was doing it before the old prop went too.

Did you replace the prop adaptor?

Have you checked that the prop adaptor is true?

Was your prop repaired by a prop specialist? Did they check it was straight and was it balanced?

Have you checked the prop adaptor is tight, ie that the centre nut actually clamps the adaptor properly?

Regards
Davie
