tiger for sale £1750
Hi, after alot of thinking (and my race car needs a new engine) my Tiger Super six with V5 is now for sale.
She is an early model Super Six fitted with a Vauxhall XE (red top) 16v engine. I got her as a spare in case i ever badly bent my racing Super Six, I
am the 4th owner.
The previous owner took her off the road a few years ago to do a complete refurb but a change of jobs, family problems and ill health meant he had to
give up on the project.
The spec of the car is as follows….
Tiger Super Six
British Racing Green
2.0 Vauxhall 16v XE engine
Twin Dellortho 45's and inlet manifold
Getrag 5 speed gearbox (Opel Manta)
Refurbed Type 9 also avalible
Tiger adapted VW Golf front lower wishbones
Cortina live axle with optional Quaife LSD to be fitted
14 inch wheels with 205 / 50 tyres (inc spare)
Brooklands aero screens (plus spare scuttle and full screen)
Spax coilover dampers
Pictures of the car post SVA are at http://www.flickr.com/photos/48388104@N02/sets/72157623805270533/
She is totally stripped back to the chassis (which was repainted by a firm that coats North Sea oil equipment).
This is going to be a little more involved than a simple reassembly of the component parts……
Comes with new aluminium sheets that are ready to be cut to shape for the bulk head panels.
The wiring loom needs redoing in places.
The dash panel and instruments ideally need rewiring as this is a bit of a mess.
The LSD needs fitting.
There is no exhaust
There is no Radiator ( Ali Polo one can be had for £40)
The engine probably needs some attention as it has sat in a shed for a number of years.
Body panels will need filling and repainting to make them like new again.
However, saying all this, for a competent person there is nothing here that you would probably not encounter in a Super Six build. ( perfect for a
locoster)
There are many reconditioned parts such as the wishbones, chassis and trailing arms. There are also many new parts such as the LSD, Dellortho twin
cable throttle linkage and the clutch kit.
As the car is allready SVA'd you will not have to spend £400ish on the IVA,
The car is at my yard near Lincoln, you would need a van / large trailer to transport the parts. or i could deliver locally.
If you U2U me your mobile no. i can MMS you some more photos of her as she is now.
So to sum up i have an allready SVA'd Tiger Racing Super Six for sale.
£1750 without the LSD
or £2250 inc quaife LSD

I hope the seller donated some of the money to the bloke that gave it to him a couple of months ago
As I remember the guy had no choice as he had split up with his missus and she wanted it out of her garage, so he gave it away. Poor sod!

especially as had the original owner been a bit more mercenary he could have got a good chunk just for the v5 and told her to have the parts scrapped!

As stated above now sold, yes I did get this kit for nothing. I saw that Nick was giving the kit away as it needed to be removed from the property
within the next week It was his choice to give it away, he could have sold the kit on a 14hr Bid on eBay. I Took 2 days of work and took my van and
trailer up to North of Aberdeen. This cost me over £300 in diesel. It was a gamble to go all the way there with only a photo of what the car
"used to look like" I discused with nick that if I needed funds for my race car I may sell all or bits of the kit he said that was fine
and he said if I wanted I could give some of the profit to charity. I got the kit back home and aranged storage. I had intended to use the six as
spares but unfortuatley I had an engine failure on my race car. I have now sold the six and will now be able to rebuild my engine. I have also given
generously to the British heart foundation.
