Fenner Vee Belts

Anyone know where to get the Fenner Powertwist Drive belts from?

Im after a 10mm (Ztype) V Belt system, and was wondering about giving this system a go.

Contact Fenner and ask for nearest distibutor?
They are very helpful.

These have been around for a long time, they don't really compare to a proper v-belt or toothed v-belt in terms of transmitting power and if they slip at all they wear the pulleys very quickly.

I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole except in an emergency.

You have just reminded me I have used these link belts as fan belts on a JCB and another machine as an easy bodge to save removing hydraulic pumps. They must have been there 10 years with no problems. Normal v belts used to give trouble all the time. Only problem I can see is you cannot run tensioners or guide pulleys on the back of the belt.

Thats ok, because for the supercharger, i dont need a tensioner and the belt will only be between 600 and 700 i think.

I dont think I would use them for a supercharger as this will comsume a lot of power. in my opinion the only suitable belt for this application is a toothed belt.
