Insurance to keep bike in Spain?

If I want to store a motorcycle with a friend in Spain so that I can ride it on visits to Spain how do I insure it? Most UK insurance only gives you cover abroad for 30 days or so, and I don't think I can insure in Spain unless I am resident there. Any ideas?

I don't know about specific rules in Spain
But in theory you are only allowed to have you're vehicle there for max 6months a year (Theory !!!)
You're UK insurance will cover you for 3rd party for the full 6 months, despite what they say. The 30day rule is for the full cover.
There are companies that cover you for more than 30days. some cover you 90days per trip.
In practice....My wife's bike is here all year round... . But she ain't ...
