Decorating :-(

Hate it, absolutely hate it

Spent all day Sunday and yesterday redecorating the kids bedrooms - Blue for the boys and Pink for the girl. Ceilings, walls, woodwork everything. New shelves, beds, lamps the bloody lot

Now skint as Homebase, Wickes, Ikea etc. have robbed me sensless

Looks on their faces when they got home from grandparents - worth every second and penny

Same here, we're going into catch up mode on the house.

Gutting a place is fine as is plumbing, wiring, building, woodwork, tiling, flooring - quite happy doing any of that, it's the final decorating and finishing that I detest.

Agreed. Oh and don't ever tell your kid that you can make them a castle cabin bed for much cheaper than you can buy one. Took me bloody ages... (looks cool though )

Ha Ha - been there too, decided I'd knock up a junior size table and 2 benches rather than buy from Ikea. It probably cost more in the end and took me far too long, but it's quite satisfying seeing them use it

Did you get that diff fitted yet?

I've just finished doing mine and now it has to go.

My gaff.

Typical lived here for 7 years with disgusting colours, awful carpets and falling apart units now it’s done I have to sell so someone else gets all the benefit of my hard labour.
Still it is a bit big now I'm on my own.
Nick
