More hayabusa questions

I've searched but couldn't find much.

1.What is the best oil?

2.Where is it best to get all service parts (gaskets, filters etc)?

Semi synthetic 10w40 oil, Motul, Putoline,Castrol. Go to your local bike dealers or Hein Gerrike are a good place to try, my local dealer SMC in sheffield usually have a deal on oil and filter packages. Expect to pay around £25-£30 for oil and around £8 for a std filter.

Why semi synthetic?

I run Silkolene 10W40 Pro 4T (fully synthetic) and have done all along.

After 2 and a half years of track days the engine is still going strong, so I'm sticking to fully synthetic Silkolene and it will take an awful lot to convince me otherwise.

Went to a local Suzuki bike dealer when he bent me over and raped my account. £12 for 4 O rings for the oil cooler and £25 for 4 exhaust gaskets! Extortion!

I haven't seen anywhere selling discounted parts but Powertec stock most of the stuff you'll need. They do have an online shop but I generally ring, they're very helpful.

I use the Silkolene fully synthetic but use the 15/50 as I'm using it for purely racing and it's a bit thicker so hopefully maintains slightly better pressure when the engine's hot at idle. The Silkolene's what Radical/Powertec use.

Not very Locost but very BEC
