wanted Audi A4 or similar saloon.

I am on the hunt for an Audi A4 or similar up to £8K. Must be low mileage up to 60K. Prefer a manual petrol model. Will travel within reasonable distance. Anybody selling such a car ?

not quite. The vrs engine runs a different TIP, Turbo, etc etc. The only thing it shares with the 150bhp golf is the block and it's ancils.

/car salesman mode on

I have the perfect car for you

Audi A4 turbo with power chip and sports suspension and way below your budget.........

Now the bad bits.

N reg with 207,000 miles TDi
Cracked windscreen
Cracked headlight
Slipping clutch (started today!)
Worn synchro on 3rd (2nd and 5th occasionally tricky)
Rear springs back to standard as the sports springs have both broken.
Electrics a bit flakey as an earth must be just starting to break down.
No air con as the pump got noisy so I cut the belt!

If your real quick you can buy it off me before I scrap it Saturday morning.

I have been for the last 6 years and apart from the box n clutch this year it's been brilliant. Just like most of the VAG stuff.
