Wanted: MX5 Power Steering System

Hi,

Bit of a shot in the dark, but I have a mk1 MX5 setup for the track (it used to have PAS that was removed). My wife wants to start driving it but she finds it a bit hard with the 280mm Steering Wheel coupled with no power steering (it's easy enough with a bigger steering wheel but I then struggle to fit in the car).

Do any of you guys that have used an MX5 for a doner vehcile happen to have a Power Steering System for sale?

Thanks in advance.

Another idea might be 2 QR bosses with 2 different size wheels.

Yeah, I'd already considered that. The slight problem with that is the added diameter pushing the steering wheel closer to me (it's a squeeze has it is for me with the cage stopping full movement of the seat, and I'm not exactly "petit".

But is something I'd considered (the slimline ones).

CHEERS

You might be in luck...

I've a complete front suspension unit off (I believe) an '03 MX5 - not sure if that's same as MK1...?
Long term plan is to use uprights etc for a Haynes, but don't think I intend to use PAS so could be tempted to part with
relevant bits
U2U me if you think its suitable & I'll take some pics....
