front wing indicators - legality

Hi all!
There was a thread on here yesterday about side repeaters and their location for the ever changing iva test. Does anyone have any experience with fitting the normal front indicators on top of cycle wings and the legality of this location???? I dont want to head any further down this road only to find out its illegal!!!

Thanks folks

Chris

They were happy with mine in this position when I did my IVA (Norwich) - didn't even mention them. Pic:

I had no problem with them on top of the cycle wing.

Fantastic. Just as a side issue what did you use to fasten your wings on with? Did you had any issues with radiuses (radii?!?! )and sharp edges??

I just used an dome / allen-key -head bolt going through into a tapped hole in the cycle wing bracket, with a dab of threadlock. No issues from IVA, although I've put the wings so close to the wheels that the wings need to be loosened to remove the wheels...

I did use rubber trim all around the edge of the wing, which I think would have been a fail if I hadn't - with that done, I didn't get any issues.

oh, sorry, I think I misread your question... they were fine with the *repeaters* as in the photo, but they did not accept the main indicators below the headlights (too far from the outside edge of the car by about 18 mm). I've since replaced them with indicators on stalks coming out of the nose cone which I hope will satisfy them.
