oil return adaptor?

i will be having my sump modified this week and i want an extra hole for an oil return to be added at the same time that i can block off untill needed. i have been told to look for a steel /8 flush fit but coming up with nothing.

can anyone that has done this point me into the right direction or point me into the direction of what you have used please?

cheers
chris

If you know the size of the return pipe thread then just get a nut to suit and weld this on, a flush fit is just a nut turned down in a lathe !

I would get a nyloc nut, knock the nylon bit out and drill the hole so the tapered end drops in nicely then weld away.

If its an ali sump then get a bit of 3/8"- 1/2"scrap and shape to a 2p diameter, weld on drill and tap

Regards Mark
