Driveline Shudder

I took the new car for a first spin last night and there's some driveline shudder at high speed.

I am going to look at UJ phasing and angles tonight.

Fuel lines run near the propshaft and after reading the thread on snapped driveshaft>fire (ouch!) I'm going to be putting a sheild over the fuel hoses.....

The car is running a quaife reverse box - has anyone had issues with these being unbalanced and contributing to shudder, or should I rule that out as a source.

I'd be fitting a pair of prop catchers if it was my car: linky

I am not knocking the reverse box as many people use them without a problem, but I do know of one person that had to change his for that reason. There are many other things that can cause the problem, go for the cheapest option first.

Cheers, Nick
