Wiper wiring of park position

Does anyone understand how the electrical circuit in the white plastic connector on the mini wiper motor works? First I wired per the diagram on the Stafford Vehicle site, then applied 12V to the park terminal. Nothing happen!

Then I used an ohm meter and figured out the switch circuit. Park & live are connected every time the limit switch is thrown out, and that is how far the circuit went. Does anyone knowhow does the circuit complete itself in supplying power to the motor? Does the circuit need to splice into the low speed wire?

The trick with park is that the on/off wiper switch when in the off position links the 2 and 5 terminals on the connector block on the motor. There is an ignition live feed to terminal 4 which supplies the power for the park cycle. Pic below is a sierra column switch in the off position powering the park cycle. Obviously the dedicated lucas switch does the same. Rescued attachment plug&circuit.jpg
