Quick Release Steering Hub?

On with my next project so soon now, just counting the days for the frame to be ready to build, I will be fitting a quick release steering hub and wondered what people think of this type?

QUICK RELEASE STEERING WHEEL HUB | eBay UK

On my MNR I had a splined quick release one which was fiddly to align and seemed to have some amount of play in it. I have looked at the small Wilwood ones and the OMP ones too, but because I will be retaining the original steering headshell column with indicators etc, I wanted to utilise the original hub and fit this on top as it looks pretty neat.

Just wondered who had bought them and what they think of them?

Safe?

Easy fit?

Any play?

Cheers

Nick

Hi, I have just fitted a 'RAGE' one which was easy to fit, no welding, it has no play & is easy to take on & off.

All the best,

Brian

Cheers Brian,

They do seem to be very nice, and easy like you say no welding, just a nice neat option. Might be able to get a deal next weekend at Newark then.

Cheers
