gear lever

hi

just moving onto my next job after my brake pipes, anyway i have a type 9 box with gear lever in the usual place and i have got an adaptor to move the gear lever towards the back of the car only about 100mm. how does the piece of kit work and does anybody know what the hell im going on about. it was bolted on when i got the car but i doesn't do anything not even select a gear. i will try to post a pic if you need to see what i have got and possible what am i missing.

Hi, im having a similar issue.

bought the extension kit on ebay. there is a key which should fit in. but in my case the key is too wide to fit in.
(type 9) anybody fitted this kit?

thanks

a picture would probably be the easiest way to see what is going on.

Is this the part?

This is a part that Rally Design and Westfield supply.
It just bolts in place of the gear lever then the gear lever bolts in to it. Like you say it moves the lever back about 100mm.
