Bit long winded way of doing it but can't you get it laser cut out of brass, get it chrome plated, then paint as required?

AUDI RS BADGE - A3 A4 A5 A6 A8 S LINE - REAR EMBLEM | eBay

a bit like that sounds cheaper than making one from scratch

Get it rapid prototyped by a nice expensive machine, Im sure there are companies that will do it for you in ABS or the likes.... Not sure how cheap though....

I've heard good things about this place, but never used them myself. They can certainly rout what you want out of plastic for small quantities.
They can probably also advise on finishing.

If you want high quantity then you will be talking mould tooling which has an impressive NRE cost - I could probably get the name of the company we use for plastic parts if you are interested in that route.

I'd say get it milled on a small(ish) (cnc) router in steel and get it chrome plated. And then fill the recess with coloured resin.

Alternatively you could go for an aluminium or stainless base and polish it. And if you need a really specific red maybe paint it. Although it will be a bitch to get it neat with paint I think.

Looks like CNC is the way forward - just need to finish the one in the garage!!

Thanks for all the answers, had hoped a company was able to just make them adhoc!

Casting? Lost wax or sand casting, good for small runs then enamel the red part. Could also look at name badge manufacturers same process as mantioned
