HMRC Refund

Hoorah I just got an email from HMRC telling me that I will get a Tax Refund. Just follow the Link.

The HMRC Link hides a true link to allegedly a business called SBA which has a page allegedly from the HMRC asking you to give them your details and credit card number.

I THINK NOT

Alegedly I was going to get £190 odd.

Oh and reported to the real HMRC.

Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

+1. Nice surprise for Christmas. Calculated from tax year 2006/7, took them a while but I am not complaining as I had no idea I had one coming.

I get 5-6 of those a week, in various guises, luckily Yahoo spam filters tend to pick out 99.99% of them.

Tax office really gets me confused.

Last year - adjustment for unpaid tax on PAYE !!!

This year - a cheque in the post and tax code raised....

The Answer for everything, but never the last word....

Work colleague pocketed a very healthy 4 figure refund last week on overpaid BIK tax. He's been skipping round the office like child ever since

I got a bill (small ) off them recently.
Just reinforces what I think of them. - they don't know what they're doing.
Despite their fancy computer systems !

To be honest I think I'm overdue a refund off them for all the hassle I've had from them
