Brake Pipe Damaged

While working on the car this afternoon I was drilling a hole and stupidly forget the brake pipe that runs down the tunnel was on the other side of the panel, I have nicked the pipe with the drill bit, I also went through a wire but have repaired this (I should never have done any work on the car this afternoon).

There is no hole in the brake pipe but there is some damage.

I am guessing I need to drill out all the rivets and buy and fit a new brake pipe down the tunnel as the pressure resistive strength of the brake pipe will now be compromised.

Cheers

Mike

We all have days like that, more work left to do than when you started.

Best to just walk away.

What about cutting out the damaged section and putting in a straight joiner?

Exactly what I would do but of course it depends on access.

As I thought, I think I'll start the pain staking process of starting to remove it all tomorrow evening.
