sierra push fit driveshafts - help me out of a hole!

evening gents,

my gts clubman has push fit sierra driveshafts which are past their best [i.e. completely knackered] and need refurbing or replacing. Given that I'm based in Dubai this is proving nigh on impossible and so I'm looking to solve this problem whilst one in the UK for xmas.

On online search has revealed that replacement parts are as rare as rocking horse droppings, and ebay is only turning up rusty pairs for £150+ which is absurd.

i have emailed cps drivelink for a quote after seeing a recommendation on here. are there any other companies who can assist?? do any companies sell the spares so i can have them rebuilt here? it would save me some trouble and excess baggage fees that way for sure!

As far as I am aware the only wear point on push in shafts are the 3 nylon wheels in the tripod joint
To get to them you need to cut the can and these are £12 each, x2 per shaft
A good set of secondhand would be almost as good

I know that Steve Hughes at Fury Sportscars refurbishes the drive shafts as he has just shortened mine and replaced the innards. Give him a call and he may be able to tell you where he gets the kits from, or even refurb yours for you.

I dont recall seeing any nylon wheels, their are 3 metal wheels, and 1 nylon disc.
The cans are also very hard to get hold of now IIRC.
