Duratec Sump

Hi,

Pretty simple question this time really - can anyone give me any pointers towards the best value for money sump pan for a Duratec engine.

Cheers

That'd be spot on if you don't mind - enjoy the pub!

If you have access to a TIG welder, you can shorten the stock one for relatively little money or effort.

or if you talk to flakmonkey he will sell you a flatpack and you can weld up a steel one

I was under the impression that Flak Monkey wasn't doing them anymore (not sure why, maybe I just made it up in my own head like a lot of other things!).

It's certainly of interest though, but I've never welded anything before so a steep learning curve and big problem if I get it wrong and end up dumping all my oil at some point.

Does anybody know if Flak still does them or is willing to sell the plans? I have tried messaging him but with no response. Anyone have a copy of the plans they would be wiling to share?

Yes the sump fits fine I did a small mod to the windage try as it was catching the oil pick up.
I only filled it with oil on Tuesday and not been home to see if it's all still in or on the workshop floor I'm home to night so will have a look and if all goes well on Sunday I'm May even get it running fingers crossed
