Sierra diff question please

I understand a 7.5" CWP will not fit in the smaller 7" casing but my question is;

Will the differential unit ie the guts (except the CWP) from a 7" fit in a 7.5"?

Or in other words do the two diffs share any internal components?

Reason being, I have a 7" LSD already and have a 4.88 cwp I wish to use. I have been offered a bare 7.5 casing and wondered if I could build it up with what I have to hand?

What size diff is the 4.88 cwp out of 7" or 7.5" ?

I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

Oopps, should have said the CWP is a 7.5", it's a rare Ford Motor Sport one.

7.5" CWP fits in 7.5" casing and uses 7.5" diff.

7.0" CWP fits in 7.0" casing and uses 7.0" diff.

6.5" CWP fits in 6.5" casing and uses 6.5" diff.

Cannot miox and match.
