Silvertop head on blacktop poss?

Is it possible to fit a 2.0 Zetec silvertop head on a 2.0 blacktop block?

I have a hydraulic big ported and valve head with Newman PH4 cams and a worn out bottom end. There are new blacktop short motors available at silly money, it would make sense if I could marry the two.

Ha, just noticed what I have written above, yes my own bottom end could do with a rebuild aswell.

Nope, creates problems with the cam belt.

No point when you can pick up engines for next to nowt.

the silvertop and blacktop head and block can't be fitted to each other with out work, as said in a previous post it creates problems with the cam belts routing arount the water pump......the only way round i have tried it is the blacktop head with solid lifters fitted to the silvertop bottom end.
