track day question - which track in the north??

Hello all,
I'm looking for a good airfield track in the north to test the new car out, anybody got any recommendations? I love oulton and donington, but I'm after a cheap day somewhere without barriers for myself and a novice to test the car at speed, looking at blyton park, but have no idea if It's any good. All suggestions welcome!
Thanks,
Henry (More than a bit excited at having a new toy, even if rather second hand...)

I'll second Blyton. It's a proper track surface laid into the old runways so a lot better than an airfield but still with the run off and it's cheap compared with the race circuits. I believe testing is available as well as track days.

And I'll 3rd it. It's ideal for what you want by the sound of things

Cheers folks,
Looks like just what I was after, although no slow tin tops would be nice, but we can all dream, eh? Will start looking for a date in may, just a few jobs to sort out first - new harnesses, trailer and cooling the engine better!

Blytons a nice long track at 1.7mls IIRC and can't say I've ever had a traffic problem (or seen anyone else having one either) but then again we're only in a 'slow' tin top.
