Exhaust rattle....

I Have a re-packable can with a cat inside and a perf tube... The thing has started to rattle probably because the packing has disintegrated but yet to check... Hardly done any miles... Not sure if it is acoustafil or something else... Not sure if I should go to the effort of trying to weld something into the can to hold the perf tube or try to re-pack it only.... Common problem I suspect... Any recommendations

I worked on an MNR with a rattle in the exhaust. It was coming from where the perforated tube fitted over the locating stubs of tube. Just a sloppy fit. From memory I distorted the perf' tube to make it a tight fit on the stubs.
