Hans bag seat

I made a seat yesterday using a Hans polybead seat kit. Its all cured and my intention was to trim in and then use Duck tape to finnish it. Problem is it would appear that during the curing process some type of residue has permeated through the bag and now there is a greasy film on the outside of the bag. I've tried using brake cleaner to remove it but no joy and the tape simply won't stick to it.

Anybody got any suggestions, I am intending to glass fibre the back of the seat so thinking about just wrapping the cut edge with this but obviously once I do this no going back so thought I would seek advice first !!

Many thanks Graham
