Haynes Roadster for sale

For Sale Haynes Roadster Kitcar

Car was IVA’d and properly registered in June 2012 (as a Haynes Roadster)

The donor was a Ford Sierra, donating its Type 9 gearbox, 3.92 Differential, dash clocks, wiring loom, wheel hubs and brakes (discs front and drums on the IRS independent rear suspension).
Bodywork is part fibreglass and the rest are aluminium panels. The bodywork does have some cracks and scratches on the fibreglass and alumunium. I think its minor and its tricky to photograph, so best to be seen in person. Wheels are magnesium alloy off a Sierra Cosworth rally car, complete with stud inserts and threaded valves. Tyres are Toyo Proxies T1-R with loads of tread left.
On the interior Seats are fibreglass with Sabelt 4 point harnesses. The drivers seat is on sliders but the passenger seat is fixed. The gearlever is on a quickshift and the steering wheel is a OMP.

The engine is a 16v DOHC 2.0 out of a 1992 Ford Escort RS2000. The fuelling is by a set of Kawasaki ZX6R motorbike carburettors with Pipercross sausage filter. Ignition is by a MegaJolt electronic ignition. Exhaust is a 4-1 stainless manifold (heat wrapped) and onto a Yamaha R1 can. The engine has a modified sump off a RWD Sierra 2.0 DOHC that has a round 40mm removed from the bottom. To secure against any oil surge I fitted a oil pressure gauge and a Accusump system. To keep the system cool it has a Mocal oil cooler in front of the radiator.

The car has a Innovate LC1 wideband lambda and gauge that was fitted for tuning. The age of the engine makes the vehicle exempt from the stricter emissions tests on the MOT that normally requires fuel injection and a catalytic convertor. This is on the V5C (CO 3.5% and HC 1200 ppm). So if you ever change the engine you get loads more flexibility on emissions.

The alternator is a lightweight denso unit to save some weight, same as the lightweight Odyssey battery. Rear lights are LED units.

Fuel tank is aluminium and made by Alloy Fabrications.

I have quite a few spares / extras that are available with the car. These include a complete spare engine, a spare differential, spare ZX6R carburettors, a spare fuel pump and some misc spares (new oil filter, new hand brake cable, engine sensors etc).
I have parts I never fitted, such as a new 2.9 Quick steering rack and a set of carburettors off a Kawasaki ZX9R Motorbike.

I'm looking for £4500.00 ono. I’m open to sensible offers, but daft questions and daft offers will be ignored. I'm on the Wirral.

If you want to test drive it, please make sure you have insurance.

I’m sure people with have more questions and I think I’ve covered everything, but feel free to contact me.
