Fury Windscreen

Hi Guys and Gals,

Just for interest, I have just received my windscreen for my Fury.

Great service and knowledgeable staff.

Said it was for a Fury and they new the correct screen.

Had a selection of clear laminated or heated.

So who are they you all ask - well the answer is :-

Rick Evans Motorsport in Tamworth, Staffs.

Delivery included and I got change from £155.

Did you go for the heated one? If I had a CEC that's what I'd do and avoid having to deal with demisters. Just think it's a bit too much load for the bike engines charging system.

I did not get a heated screen, so I cannot comment on the price.

2 points of note

1) I built my car with a heater to defrost myself
2) I was unaware of heated screens when I built my car

So there we are. It is now glued in and the frame has had extra glassing done
to stiffen it up a bit.

Wipers fitted, look 'orrid', next is the rear view mirror installation.

Following that - IVA process startup.

I got a price for the heated screen, only £185+vat which I thought was pretty good. I'm going for that for the reasons adithorp mentions.

I recently saw a Stylus (same windscreen) fitted with the heated version.
I have to say it looked quite ugly due to the copper strips being clearly visible esp to and bottom. However it might be possible to hide these with suitably applied black tape of self adhesive vinyl.

Ive been to Ricky Evans a few times, top bloke who has been in the trade forever fitting screens and then moved into manufacturing heated ones. He does alot of work for WRC teams too. Hopefully once I get my car IVA'd and give him the screen he should be doing westfield screens too.

It is an Elan S2 screen (not cut down) as are the Stylus and J15 and Vectis screens.
