LM GT - Work in Progress
Hello all.
After some problems, as well as a pair of new workshops, things are finally fall into place... LM GT is getting there and just hope to get the first
car done very soon.
Several issues were blocking me from working in this project, as well as to deal with some customers and so on.
I'm sorry to anyone who was trying to contact me, and things went not that smooth as they should. All is being sorted now.
Hope you like the way the car is going on.
Will try to make some updates if anyone is interested.

Very nice. I like the Ferrari California esque rear end.
Is it rear engined ? What engine are you using ? What will it weigh ? Sorry for all the questions.
I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

Hi.
No. It is front engined.
It has a Honda S2000 drivetrain. Front and rear chassis are tubular, bolted to the main central part.
Estimated weight around 800 Kg.
Then, a Shooting Brake version will be available too...

Nice work, looks pretty good, especially like the breadvan version.
Is this being designed to UK IVA standards (assuming you are going to make it available as a kit) as I think it will have to go through that as you
have significantly altered the donor chassis ?

Hi.
Yes, this model will be available both in turnkey and pre-assembled kit form.
Two different bodywork styles will be possible, one using an electric opening soft roof or targa type hardtop, and another one with a shootingbrake
style rear. Will try to make them interchangeable...
The central monocoque is from a Smart Roadster. This more then usefull choice, adds lots of quality to the final product.
There's no need to highlight all of the advantages of that, but to name a few, you will get a solid door shut, hight quality weather gear,
electric windows, very stiff and secure chassis, good hergonomics, etc.
Front and rear of the monocoque was cut and two tubular spaceframes were bolted. Several reinforced plates were welded where needed, of course.
This prototype uses a complete Honda S2000 drivetrain, from the engine, gearbox, diff and halfshafts.
Brakes are 6 pot willwood front with use rotors inside 19" wheels.
Interior is new, using leather, carbon and some other very interesting design choices...
Soon to be available for viewing, since we will take it to UK to a major car show.

Brilliant!
I'm loving the shooting brake especially.
Doors, windows and roof that work on a kit car? Looks like a viable every day self built car! Not since the GTM Libra have we seen such a thing!
Looking forward to seeing it. Which show do you plan to bring it too?
Any idea on pricing?

Tool me a couple of looks to realise that the blue shooting brake was a scale model not full-size car!!! Looks really nice, though

Question on the front rails...will those forward facing, horizontal poles be pushed straight into the passenger compartment in a head-on collision?

Fair point.
Tubular chassis is bolted into a very well reinforced steel plates, that were welded into the main monocoque structure.
The idea is to allow any impact forces to be dispersed through a bigger area.
Interior is also reinforced with a tubular structure under the steering column.
Also, there will be an impact absorbing box at the front of the chassis.

Things still need a lot of work and attention. Headlights need finishing and and a lot of sanding will be done in the next few days!

Slow progress... but on its way
Hello you all.
Another few pics of the LM GT going on... The progress is slow, but steady. Too many details do be solved and developed. Some changes were made into
the original design, due to IVA issues and looks too.
The project is evolving and I'm very pleased with it.
Hope you like this as much as I do.
