I lost my camera on a track day and they cant find it - Can anyone help?

Random one. . .

I was at Snetterton on a track day last month and after pulling back into the pits I realised my SJ1000 HD camera had come off. The mount had snapped clean off! (note for any one that has a HD camera on circuit, the mountings are cheap!). Luckily I had a rear facing camera and when I got home watched back the video and spotted it flying off at Hamilton corner.

I sent the a picture with a google earthed location and a red ring to show its exact location and contacted Snetterton. They said they would go have a look which surprised me as I thought they would not be sympathetic and just say its my fault. Anyway, although I had located its final resting point to around 10sqm in the grass they could not find it. This surprised me as I was so accurate and its bright blue, its also quite big at about 4 matchbox cars.

I am assuming someone has not found it and robbed it but I also dont overly trust that they had a proper look for it. What I am wondering is if someone could have a look for me if I get them permission to have a look on a day nothing is on. I live about 2 hours away so I cant just pop down there.

Anyone know someone at Snetterton and be able to get themselves on track for 10 mins to try and find it for me? Antone up for having a little hunt?

Beer tokens waiting.

Also any others comments or thoughts. Although these are "only" £60 it also has a memory card in it and some memorable footage!!

Cheers

Bizzwaahh
