Setting up my digi dash

Hi All,

I have fitted a KOSO DB-03R to my Tiger CAT E1. I have the revs working but how do I setup the speedometer and fuel gauge. I am using a 2.0 pinto and sierra running gear on electronic ignition. I don't want to be arrested for speeding or run out of fuel.

Cheers

Max

I used the instructions provided to set mine up but they were very poor.

I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

What setup are you going for on the speedo? Magnets on the prop or a type 9 adapter? If the car is on the road you can setup against a sat nav. If you want to setup for IVA you can work out from the gear ratios/diff/tyre size the RPM in each gear then pop the car up on axle stands and run it up to a certain rpm/gear and set the calibration.

For the fuel sender you will need to set the correct resistance value. Have you checked your sender is compatible with the Koso units. Most of the Koso units are for use with motorbike senders. If not you may need to buy a box of electrical tricks to get it working.

Thanks for the suggestions. Although I think I have more things to worry about as my dad put a hole in the sump yesterday.
