Sierra front calipers
Hi all I am at a sticky point, I have a pair of front hubs off a sierra, just got some calipers off a sierra but here is the ball kicker the carrier
bolts (m12) are too big for the holes in the hubs (m10) goes through. What do I have? What would they of had fitted?

The cossie 2wd 4 pot ones are M12, but they have the threaded holes in the upright and no carrier brackets
I'm fairly sure the rest of them have M10 bolts (although I'm not 100% sure about the cossie 4x4 ones that fit the 278mmm discs)
Have you got a pic?
I've got a spare pair of ordinary sierra ones in need of a recon some where, they are the ones for the 260mm discs

Ok thats was the train of thought I ended up on. Yeah the M12 thread is in the carrier so you be right with the 4x4. Yes plz to the carriers you have
let us know what you want.

Que the dim moment but the carriers you have are for the later calipers or is there one carrier type do all caliper types?

This is the only pic I can find right now
All the ones I've got are the 260mm vented disc type (all from granadas)
If I can't find the carriers then I do have the rusty calipers in the pic^^^
As far as I know the carriers are all specific to type of caliper.
The normal sierra's can have 240mm solid discs, 240mm vented discs or 260mm vented discs - each has a different caliper.
Which one was fitted depends on the engine and if had ABS more than anything.

Ok cool thanks for the quick reply. Heres what I have sierra front hubs and 240mm vented discs so as for calipers n carriers I quess they can be of
any type as long as non abs and they suit 240mm discs.

The only difference ABS makes is larger size of the caliper and the larger 260mm disc - nothing at all to stop you using them on a non-ABS car as long
as you pick an appropriate master cylinder to suit the larger pistons in the calipers.
This makes them a useful upgrade over the 240mm discs if you need it, but at the expense of some extra unsprung weight.
But for most sevens the 240mm discs are more than enough....
Unfortunately this also means that the carriers I've got are no good to you

No problem will keep my eye out for some tbh some say using vented discs is abit over kill but at a disc size of 240 gives me a little more room for
some 15" rims.
