Vauxhall Nova 1400 16v Rally / Track / Race car

Vauxhall Nova 1400 16v Rally Car for sale. This a very well put together rally car with some very good bits on it. Ex-BTRDA car which I have rebuilt and put to tarmac spec - Full photo diary of rebuild available.

I bought the car 18 months ago fresh from a 3rd in class on the Woodpecker rally. I spent almost a year stripping it & refreshing it and putting it into its current spec. It runs a Rover K Series 1400 engine....why may you ask? Well it was originally built as an Enduro rally car which is a series which limits the cars to a standard 1400cc engine. The 1400 K Series was and possibly still is, one of the lightest and most powerful 1400 engines as standard, couple this with a lightweight Nova shell and you have a pretty good combination. Not to everyone's taste I agree but there is logic behind it.

I have used it just once on a small single venue tarmac rally and on a test. It is a very reluctant sale after putting lots of money, blood, sweat and tears into since I bought it, but a new toy forces sale. It has been used so please don't expect a show car. Comes complete with V5, MSA Logbook & MOT until November 2015.

Genuine enquiries only please. You are welcome to come and view the car (it is in Telford). No boy racers / tyre kickers / time wasters. Cash only, no swaps or part exchanges, no stupid offers (or 'whats the lowest you'll take for it?' without the even looking at it or asking anything about it!). As with anything, of course there is a deal to be done so I am open to sensible offers on it. It is a rally car, it has been used in the forests - it is not a show car. I'm after around £6995 for it

If you have any genuine questions then please ask

Thanks

Chris

I bet that's great fun to drive, good luck with the sale! Out of interest, what is 'good power and torque', IE what can you get out of a 1400 these days?

Thanks, it's 145bhp and 116lb/ft of torque and the car weighs around 730kg.

Please see attached dyno result. The run in red was the first run, the second run (black plot) was the 'tweeked' run. It did produce nearer 155bhp but the torque dropped down, I guess for a race circuit this would have been ok but we decided to drop it back for more torque.

I would consider breaking it up for the right money.

Cheers
