throttle issues

Just replaced the throttle cable, and it idles fine and if you blip the throttle the revs drop to idle nice and fast, but if you hold the throttle open the revs drag on, only slowly returning to idle.

there is plenty of slack in the cable and I cannot see any kings or tight turns. Cable and liner are both new, liner is Teflon coated.

Is it the cable, or have high possibly done something else?

Cheers

I had similar issues and it turned out to be the cable, bought a genuine jenvey cable and all was sorted.
