What is it with epoxy resin?
It takes me 2 or 3 years to get through a pair of tubes. By the end they're a disgusting tacky mess. It's as if the tubes are designed to
slowly weep, or the caps don't really seal well.
Is there a better way?

Resins have an "open time" for usage - ie. should be used within a certain amount of time from when exposed to air/other chemicals. No
matter how hard you try to seal the tube with a screw, cling-film, stopper etc. it will always slowly degrade. Different resins ie. 2-part, or
different manufacturers will all have different acceptable tolerances, but the only real solution is to buy smaller tubes if you're not using
too much and want it to stay good.

There was a solution that I found, can't remember the exact manufacturer, but I'll look later.
Found - Expensive as a one off, but in bulk much cheaper -
epoxy
In essence it was a pair of sauce sachets together. Tear the top of both, fold and squeeze out, same as ketchup, the resulting quantity was juast
about a desert spoonful, and had a cure time of circa 5min.
Clean and simple, probably to clean and too simple for the marketing people,...

It's as if the ones I buy can't tolerate the heat cycles and they seem to gradually turn to water and weep everywhere.
They're only £3 a pair of tubes so it's not like I'm losing too much sleep over it, but it's so annoying!

The worst bit is that everything around the tubes also gets a coating - and as some people can end up with a severe allergy to epoxy that can be
life-changing, it is a bit of a worry.

Depending on your job application, try an alternative adhesive .. I find Gorilla Glue incredibly efficient for no, low and medium stress jobs!
