VW Polo 2010 Lights

Hello again one and all!

Im having a bloody nightmare with the other halves VW polo.
On the dash a light comes on to say that there is a tail Light bulb is out.

Turns out it was, the drivers side.
Started unwinding the plastic screw that seems to hold Japan in place, and the bugger came back on.

Every time i tapped the cluster, the bulb kicked in.

Lost my temper and replaced it!

Still The same!

Has anybody seen this before?

Can anybody shed some light on this?(Excuse the pun)

Cheers All

Aaron

Fairrly common problem apart from careful abrasive cleaning I have used a product called "Corrrosion Gone" followed by contact grease.

It can also be caused by some cheap and nasty bulbs that have dimensions that aren't to spec or have some sort of lacquered coating.
