haynes rear shock problem

hi guys
Not sure if this has been covered before
But here goes
I'm just fitting my rear shocks and have come across a little problem
I'm using mx5 uprights and a set of talons wishbones
I can't get the upright to sit flush against the bottom of the shock

I'm thinking maybe cut a little bit out of the upright to bring it flush with the shock

Regards
Steve

Some washers perhaps, or a spacer?

I went for a custom top wishbone mount that has a spacer between the shock and the upright. It also means the bolt through the middle is in double shear, rather than the single shear that is more common.
