Pedal Box
Can anyone help me please?
How easy is it to change a top mounted pedal box (Possibly MK1 MK2 Escort Style) into a floor mounted pedal box?
What sort of leg room gains am i likely to get, alternatively would it be an idea to cut and modify the existing pedals to suit, ideally i could do
with gaining aprox 2 inches.

You'd need a specific floor mounted pedal set. I can't see you being able to use Escort pedals as the push rods would be under the floor.
You'll also probably need to replace the end of the footwell with thicker steel to stop flexing. If this is a fury, the floor on the older ones
slopes up and is really thin. It'll flex under braking.
Without looking, you'd need to be handy with a grinder and welder.

Take a look at my blog here. I did just that work on my fury as well as change
the footwell for a curated rather than pinto. Let me know what you think.

Thank you for the replies, forgot to mention it is actually a Locost roadster, the pedal box atm has a bolt going through the top of the clutch and
brake pedal and the accelerator pedal is also hinged at the top.
