Crossflow bearing sanity check

Evening,

The main bearings I'm removing from my crossflow are marked with 731M6333 CFA .015 O/S STD.

Are these standard size internally, i.e around the crank and 0.015 oversize on the outside, i.e on the block?

Want to make sure I order the right Vandervell/Mahle ones...

Thanks
Jon

Fords apparently salvaged new Xflow blocks amongst others by using main bearings with oversize external diamentions so what you have is likely to be as you say. The best bet is to order them from an old school engine recondition eras or someone like Burtons . ISTR Burtons giving some info on their website?

Excellent, thanks for confirming. Couldn't see any info on Burtons but they want £95 for them with no brand name mentioned!!!!!

Will try a few other places where the VP ones use copper rather than Burton Gold.
