Slyva Striker Fully rebuilt rolling chassis FS - properly registered.

Hi All

I've decided to sell my Striker rolling chassis (with V5) - details as follows:

1992 road legal rolling chassis with correctly registered V5– fully rebuilt.

Chassis
Live axle chassis with full roll cage and removable side impact bar.
Chassis was stripped to bare metal and blasted.
Additional chassis mods (all fabricated by Endaf Owens, former Mini Miglia champion):
roll cage bracing and side impact bar (removable)
rose jointed front wishbones
balance bar pedal box (has clutch pedals for hydraulic or cable clutch)
additional bracing beneath driver’s seat
transverse engine bay brace (removable)
steering rack bracing
front ARB
brackets for steering column, radiator (Caterham alloy), exhaust, Longacre mirror (not included)
Chassis waxoyled then powder coated in black.

Bodywork / panels
All panels powder coated black
Floor panels, rear bulkhead refitted (sikaflex and rivets).
New side panels made and loose fitted, good condition bulkhead (all left off to make fitting the wiring, plumbing etc easier).
New bonnet and nose (bare gel coat).
Original rear one piece bodywork – will need some tlc and paint.
Front mudguards – need tlc

Front running gear / suspension
New quick rack with alloy mounts. (original rack fitted but new one supplied)
Quick release steering boss (McGill Motorsport) with OMP leather wheel.
Powder coated uprights with new ball joints.
New alloy hubs with new Wilwood 4 pot calipers and pads.
New rose jointed lower wishbones (original escort TCA with polybushes also available). Quality rose joints supplied by McGill Motorsport . There are 3 wishbones (one spare) but only one is powder coated.
New top rocker bushes and pivot arm
New antiroll bar, brackets etc (doesn’t have the drop links but these are easy to make / buy)
Spax dampers and springs – not the best condition.

Rear running gear / suspension
Live axle – checked for straightness. All unnecessary brackets removed.
Rear disc conversion – new discs and good calipers (uses Peugot 205 / Clio calipers as these fit nicely under 13” wheels)
Diff – think it’s a 3.9 but will check.
Striker ‘standard’ suspension trailing arms and panhard rod with good bushes – all powder coated.
Spax dampers and springs – not the best condition.

Other
Type 9 gearbox with short lever (no bellhousing)
Prop shaft
Caterham alloy radiator / oil cooler – superb bit of engineering but not cheap!
Pack of braided brake hoses.
4 x 13” K&N alloys (powder coated in orange) with good slicks and new wheel nuts. (I have a set of Revolution wheels with Yokohamas instead)
Original front hubs, discs, callipers. Rear drums, handbrake mechanism
Cibie headlamps.
Rear lights (not brilliant)
Electric fan

Stuff available but not included.
Wheels - set of 5 revolutions with Yokohama tyres - will swap these for the K&N alloys and slicks but not sure if I have the wheel nuts.
K series RWD parts –
Caterham bellhousing,
K series Caterham engine mounts and new rubbers (modified for this chassis)
K series exhaust manifold and Harvey repackable silencer
K series starter / adaptor for Type 9
Dry sump tank (choice of two)
Type 9 hydraulic clutch conversion kit (new)
Odyssey 545 battery (not new but shows OK on battery conditioner) and new alloy bracket.
Brake master cylinders.
Quaife LSD

Bits needed to finish
Engine and ancillaries,
Bell housing
Electrics
Cooling hoses
Seats / harnesses
Dash / digi dash / instruments
Fuel tank, pump, hoses.

I've worked out that the car owes me about £4500 so would be looking for somewhere close to £4k but need to sell it!

With a K series (I'll include a spare 1600 K series) or possibly a Zetec / Blacktop, I estimate the car could be finished for less than £1500 (depending on spec / management etc), so the completed car could cost around £5,500. That's a bargain for a fully rebuilt Striker! The V5 is probably worth £800 (I've been offered that but wouldn't sell).

Thanks

Wyn
