Dremel bit for engraving chassis number?

I have a standard dremel, what bit do people recommend for engraving the chassis number?

Hi

I used the Dremel Engraver which worked ok and the chassis number was ok for the IVA test.

I also used the engraver as Charlie has posted. Got good results from this and a plastic stencil

Would the bit work in a normal dremel?

No, the engraver reciprocates rather than rotating like a normal dremel, plus i don't think it's removable

i bought the reciprocator and didnt get on with it, noisy and hard work with limited end result.
bought a pack of fine tips off amazon for a normal dremel (well my draper copy) and found it much more efficient...
end result shown on my 1999 striker build in jpsc forum
ps i found lacquer etc didnt react well with my hammerite finish so have just used vaseline until after iva
pps, i printed off the vin and taped on then engraved through the paper, worked well

chassis number.

If you don't fancy doing it yourself, try Bespoke Vehicle Developments.
They offer a full VIN service. VIN tags and Chassis numbers. Cheap too!
Quite a few of the members have used them with excellent comments.
They have a pneumatic marking machine. Their website is www.595s.co.uk (Under VIN SERVICES).
