Caterham Supersport 1.6 K-series/Type 9 Engine+Box Package
This package was purchased from a salvaged Caterham 1.6 Supersport. I've had this stored for many years with the intentions of installing into
a Locost chassis which I have now sold. This is a great setup, ideal for someone starting off a new project.
Package consists of;-
1) 1.6 Rover K-series Engine with distributor.
Caterham Supersport Camshafts
Caterham Supersport Sparkplug cover
Caterham Shallow Sump
Positive Oil Pressure system - Supplies a positive head of pressure to the oil pump to prevent pump starvation and is next best thing to a drysump
system, similar to the 'Accusump'.
Caterham Clutch to suit mating with Type 9 gearbox.
2) Ford Type 9 gearbox. This feels very tight and coming from a Caterham production line it will have been a new/refurbished unit originally therefore
relatively low mileage. Includes the pivot fork and clutch release bearing.
3) Caterham K-series/Type 9 Cast bellhousing
4) Starter motor with spacer to mount correctly.
5) Type 9/English Axle Propshaft. Unfortunately one of the grease nipples has snapped off whilst being moved about. I can take measurements if
required.
6) Engine Mounts for Caterham chassis.
There are no manifolds or harness wiring included although being a distributor engine I was going to run it on bike carbs to keep things simple.
