Since I moved here I'm right on the edge of the area covered by this exchange, so 512kb ADSL.
At my last gaff we had 2Mb cable when it was a big deal. ISTR paying 40 quid a month for it right enough.

To be honest (for a change! ), I couldn't access this site on dial-up any more - it has to be broadbean. There's just too much screen info to load on every page.

since NTL introduced this £9.99 / month 1Mb deal (3GB / month limitation) it's actually cheaper than their dial up option (currently £13.95) so I had to switch.

I'm paying 19.99 at the moment for the 1Mg max, the 8Mg will be first month free, then 6 months at 17.99, the contract is also monthly so I can quit it and go back to normal after 7 months !! can't loose !! he he he

And to think all i do is check e-mail and go on this site, bit of a waste really i know but it's 2 quid a month cheaper

I have 2Mb bandwidth and 15Gb download limit which suits me just fine. Tiscali - very good most of the time. High contention rate means a slow down between 8-10pm. Other than that I'm happy with it...
