Well done Sir.

An actual 'build' - including non standard bits everywhere.

Well done again.

Cheers chaps

As you can imagine, I'm slightly chuffed.

But I really do need (now I've driven it a bit) to get the tracking sorted - it's a bit like driving a car with two flat rear tyres!!!!

And get yet more springs for the rear - about 400lbs should do it!

Excellent! Well done, Simon.

I found the tracking, ride height, etc. needed a couple of tweaks after SVA and reg before I got something that was right for me... before that it was horrible.

Hope to see you around the roads here in Kent sometime

It hasnt

I did nowt on it last year cos of the new job and the bike but...... ive got all i need to start the final bits of GRP. Prob is i have to start on 6ft long front wings, which are a bit daunting. Then the front nacelle. And the bonnet. Thats essentially it. (apart from fiddly bits like windscreen glass and painting it!) Close but yet so far. If I really get my finger out it could be on the road by August..... will have to see how motivated I get!

Hopefully very. Plan to start on the wings this Saturday.

Are you gonna put up a piccy of your finished article?

Steve,

I know how you feel about the thought of doing it, but reckon once you've got one done (and hung it on the side of the car, it'll be all the incentive needed to finish).

Come on everyone, cheer the old chap along - I think this will be his 5th or 6th year

Congratulations mate.

Didn't see this thread before.

What did you do to get the bulge past it's over-bulginess?

Had a look in you archive but can't see any obvious ways.

Cheers,
James

James,

I haven't put up any pics of "post-bulgieness?" yet. But what I did was got the jigsaw out, cut two parallel lines down each side of scoop top, pushed that down, marked sides accordingly, jigsawed that out too, then made something to hold it all in place, while I relaid resin/matting etc.

Not quite finished yet - paint needs finishing.
