Ball joint for Triumph uprights??

I am pondering making up a set of front upper wishbones that fit in place of the unattractive Triumph ones. I found the part number for the ball joint/ track rod on the caterham site QR 1118s a track rod end, which will locate in a threaded tube. Can anyone confirm that this is indeed the correct part.

Funny, my Dutton Melos used the escort
struts, which Dutton cut down, and welded to take the (I think), Maxi ball joint. What year was your Pheaton? Mine was 1984. Regards Chippy.

Mine is all triumph front end, but dutton changed to ford later on, hence your set up. The early caterhams used the same triumph uprights so its that top ball joint I need to check.
