What's it worth?
I'm thinking about flogging my Indy but what's it worth?
I'm thinking of getting....don't laugh....a TR6. I've always liked the look, and while the performance might not match my MK there
is something to be said for doors and a roof! and perhaps with some throttle boddies and ECU it might be turned into something I can use more
often.
It's just a thought at the moment as the sale of the MK will need to cover the cost, and even the bottom end of the market seems a lot of
££££.
Your thoughts gents...
MK Indy
2ltr Zetec ("94) fitted with Jenvey throttle boddies and Emerald ECU.
MT75 gearbox.
LSD
Front EBC 260mm disc and pads.
Rear discs.
Front anti rollbar and Gaz adjustable shocks all round.
15" wheels with Bridgestone 195/50 tyres.
Unmarked MK fibreglass panel set fitted.
Cobra Roadster 7 seats with 4 point harness.
CAI guages fitted to a trimmed dash with shift light and all other warning lights.
Trimmed interior panels in matching leather and vinyl.
Windscreen with wipers and sidescreens.
The car was built from 90% new parts and those not new were cleaned/checked/repainted before being fitted. It has just flown through an MOT a few days
ago.
It was used as the MK show car at the Deitling show in 2005.
So what's it worth?

It is a very nice example Kevin, very nicely trimmed and looking against westfields of a similar spec which have a higher resale imho i'd say
£7-8k.
Ned.
beware, I've got yellow skin

i would say at least 8k, if not more due to the sun shining and being one of the nicest MK's ever!!
or you can sell it to me for 50p ?

Dontcha mean 'nancy'
£8k seems a fair price - so stick it up for £8300 - everybody loves to think they pulled YOUR pants down over the price

Before you part with it I,d try driving a TR6.
I fancied one 20 years ago and found the experience horrible (and that was on a nice one).
Steering wheel is huge and comes straight at you. You sit deep inside the bodywork so little room to move.
Handling is absolute pants.
If I was after a £8 - £10k replacement I,d consider a V12 XJS with power rag top.
Regards Mark

I will give one a go. I really fancied a Spyder Ealn +2 chassis/Zetec conversion but £13-15K is getting too much. Stag is another option...
Thanks for the replies.

They are making Ogle's again. http://www.nostalgiacars.co.uk/nc1000.htm
What about a Ginetta G4?
Or maybe an MG midget with a K series engine and sorted handling?
