Rear lower wishbone measurement...

Could someone with a VortX RT do me a massive favour and measure the distance from the inside mounting face to inside mounting face of the lower two rose joints. The two that attach to the lower rear upright mounts...

I've had two replacements sent through and both of the uprights seem to be too wide. I just want to make sure that the wishbones aren't too narrow.

Thanks,

Chris.

Hi Chris I asked Marc this he said you have to cut the back part of the thread on the upright to make it fit.
I have had to cut one of mine down to the weld and am now going to tap the thread in the upright to get the bolt to secure properly.

Yeh same here, I had to cut an amount of each side of the MNR rear upright so that the wishbone would fit.

Dont worry too much about it, a little at a time and jobs a good un

Just got off the phone to Marc. What a pillock I am...

It doesn't seem to mention the fact that the rear upright needs modifying in the Build Manual that I've got, but all is well now!

Rolling chassis by the end of the day, hopefully!

Then bodywork off and up to the Manifold Fabricators...

Thanks again guys,

Chris.

The lower upright mount where the two 1/2 UNF short bolts go needs to be shortened to allow the upright in between the two rose joints on the lower rear wishbone.

All done today and finally got the rear end together.

Chris.

Were maybe talking about different parts. I mean the UNF threaded portion on the bottom of the rear upright. It was too wide for the gap between the rear lower bones. I had to cut a few mm off each side to enable the wishbones to fit.

Maybe just a few ones out of tolerance.
