inlet manifolds anyone?!?

Hi Gents

Would there be any demand for inlet manifolds if I got a few cut?
I have had a couple of enquiries recently but to make it cost affective I need to cut a batch.
To start with I was going to do a copy of the carb’d Pinto inlet manifold gasket in 4mm Stainless either sold as blanks or with inlet tubes tig’d on to accept bike carbs or Webbers!

I’m just thinking out loud at the moment but u2u or post on this thread if you think it’s a goer or think there is another manifold which is required.

Regards

Thom

Depends on price I suspect! I'd like a 20XE inlet manifold flange if it was cheap enough. Hacking away at a bit of 10mm plate for hours on end doesn't fill me with glee...

I'd probably be up for a zetec one as I'll be going zetec at some point in the future. Problem is going from the oval ports to round tube needed for bike TBs / carbs.

Also, working from an inlet gasket is a bad move as they're usually pretty innaccurate with oversize holes. Ideally you would take accurate measurements direct from a head.

4mm might be a bit thin. I think 8 is better. At Newark I noticed that custom chrome were doing manifold plates for pinto and a few others for £10 each. Might be a good starting point.
